CURRICULUM VITAE
STATE SECRETARY ROMAN REP, LL.M.
Roman Rep was born on 26 September 1970 in Mariazell in Austria. In 1990, after completing his secondary schooling, he was employed by internal affairs bodies within the Ministry of the Interior, and after completing study at the College for Police and Security Studies, he performed various tasks there. He has thus held, among other positions, the post of Aviation Police Unit Commander, and he has also been Deputy to the General Director of Police, and Head of the Office of the Minister of the Interior, Dr Peter Jambrek. He also led the Coordinating Group on the preparation of Slovene police units for accession to the EU and the Working Group on implementation of projects for financing the Schengen border, and was deputy head of the Working Group for coordination of the execution of the Schengen implementation plan. He has participated in advanced training throughout his career, both at home and abroad. He thus graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Ljubljana, where he also earned his master's degree in constitutional law.
He speaks English and German.
State Secretary signed the Code of Ethics of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia.
